Meet Katie Bromberg
Katie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) certified therapist. Through Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT,) Katie teaches parenting and behavior management skills. In addition to PCIT, Katie uses family therapy to help caregivers:
- Manage their child’s behaviors
- Create increased structure in their home
- Set limits with their child in a nurturing way
- Improve the quality of the caregiver-child relationship
- Improve the quality of the caregiver relationships.
Katie specializes in working with children ages 4-10 with ADHD, anxiety, issues dealing with their emotions, behavior concerns at school and home and children who have experienced trauma. Katie also works with adults dealing with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and relationship issues. Katie works with individual adults, couples, and families utilizing an evidence and strength based approach. Katie believes that the client is the expert in their own lives and strives to create a safe environment for clients through a non-judgmental approach.
When your child is diagnosed with a learning disability, anxiety or ADHD it can be frustrating for both your child and you. These diagnoses can be a struggle but can also be a superpower! When you work with Katie, she helps you and your child to embrace their newfound superpower and manage the tougher parts of these challenges.
Whether you are 5, 25, or 55 you deserve to feel empowered and capable of accomplishing everything you want in life. Katie strives to be a flexible, comforting presence for her clients, to help them to feel empowered and brave enough to manage their emotions and struggles without her help, while knowing she is there for every step of the process. Her goal is to guide her clients so that they can learn to be more compassionate towards themselves, trust themselves, and meet their needs without her.
On average, couples wait until they have had a “problem” for 6 years prior to seeking couples therapy. You and your partner don't need to fight and build up resentment for six years before reaching out for help. Our relationships are some of the most fulfilling parts of our lives that deserve our time, attention, and nurturing.
TESTIMONIALS
What People are Saying
I have been seeing Katie for over a year and can honestly say my life has changed for the better since receiving her guidance. She has assisted me through my struggles with anxiety and guided me along my journey of treatment with a gentle hand. She is easy to talk to and provides valuable advice and skills to help me cope with the challenges I face daily. She has not only helped me, but has provided the necessary guidance to help my family as well and strengthened my marriage and family core. She is an invaluable asset to my life and I couldn't recommend a therapist more adamantly than her."
JR
When my husband and I reached out to Katie in November 2021, we were desperate for help with navigating through our son’s behavior and regulating his emotions. Katie introduced PCIT to our family, and we are so grateful that we are able to be involved in learning more effective ways to parent that fit his emotional needs. Most people and families look to therapy as a last resort, but in reality, it should be the first tool that you reach for when you need help. Katie has not only helped (and continues to help!) our son work through his emotional development, but she has also helped my husband and I build an even stronger relationship as we have found better ways for us to communicate our needs as parents to each other, and align our parenting styles so that we can present ourselves as a team that makes decisions together. We are so grateful to have found Katie when we felt like we were at the end of our rope, and she has been the lifeline that has pulled our family closer together.
